To leap is to accept the reality that despite our grand hopes and hearty desires, a soft landing is never a guarantee.

Way back, as a child, were caused to believe that our cape was our source of strength. It gave us faith in ourselves. It made us superheroes. And today, while we face our villains in forms of failures, insecurities and pain, maybe this is all we need: to believe and to trust our cape.

Finally, when we finally muster all our courage and decide to take flight, we embrace not only the probability of falling but also the fact that we are strong enough to let go of everything that is holding us back. It does not matter how short-lived the flight may be, or that we might be hitting rock bottom next. Point is, we live to tell the experience. And by that experience, we gained wisdom. From a rare height we see that before we hit the ground, the act of leaping is already a success.

If our destination proved to be different than what we have hoped for, then our tattered capes and bruised knees will be our silent reminders that we still have everything we need, even after we failed. Our capes represent all that we have been through in life; everything that might have painted us with different hues yet still leads us to what we are, where we are and who we are right now. Our bruised knees remind us that though it may hurt sometimes, we are always meant to mend ourselves. And along the way, we become stronger and wiser and ready to start anew. Once again, what it only takes is to revive the caped kid in you whose courage can defy the impossible.

After all, leaps of faith need not to be grand and big. They only need to be meaningful.
